Alarm From Hell
They stop the alarm. The alarm does not stop them.
Open in Safari on your iPhone. Download the file, open it from Safari Downloads or Files, then follow the prompts to add it in Shortcuts.
What happens
The target stops their morning alarm. The shortcut sets media volume to 100%, vibrates, plays a scream and then opens the ghost in Quick Look. Viewing the image can require unlocking the phone and dismissing the preview.
Setup
- Open this page in Safari on the iPhone, download the file (or AirDrop it), open it from Safari Downloads or Files, and tap Add Shortcut.
- Long-press it in Shortcuts β All Shortcuts β Rename and call it Alarm Helper, so it doesnβt give itself away.
- Run it while unlocked and choose Always Allow where offered. This run sets media volume to 100%, even if you turned it down first. Check the audio output, and dismiss the ghost preview to finish the run.
- Shortcuts β Automation β + β Alarm, choose Is Stopped and Any Alarm (or just their wake-up alarm), select Run Immediately, tap Next and choose the shortcut.
Undo
Open Shortcuts β Automation, swipe left on the automation and tap Delete. Then delete the shortcut. Restore media volume and audio output in Control Center.
Variations
- Pair it with 3:33 AM for a full night-and-morning haunting.
Test the trigger
Installing the file does not create its automation. After the manual test, trigger the event once and check the result. If the shortcut picker is unavailable, create a blank automation, add Run Shortcut, and select this shortcut. Menus, previews and app-opening actions may still need interaction or an unlocked phone even with Run Immediately selected. If it stops, run from the shortcutβs β¦ editor to identify the failing action.
Reveal
